Assam Agricultural University (AAU) was established in 1969 under the Assam Agricultural University Act 1968. The university is located in Jorhat, Assam. AAU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
