Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) is a state open university established on 29th September 2005 by the Government of Assam. The university is located in Guwahati, Assam.KKHSOU has recognition from the former Distance Education Council (DEC) and now the Distance Education Bureau (UGC). The university has also been accredited with a B+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It aims to provide high-quality education to all who can not take regular classes due to financial constraints, geographical barriers and their job, in a distance mode.
