KUFOS Admission 2026-27: Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is now accepting applications for the UG, PG, Voc Diploma, and PhD courses. KUFOS offers admission to M.F.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, M.Tech, LLM, B.F.Sc, B.Tech, and others. Those who want to apply for admission at KUFOS need to appear for the entrance exam, which is conducted by the university itself. The university also accepts National Eligibility cum Entrance Test scores. To pursue UG courses, students need to pass their 10+2 in Science-related subjects (PCB/PCM) with 50% marks.

For the PG courses, it is mandatory to hold a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks. About KUFOS 

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies was started in 2010. It is an autonomous public university located in Kerala. Its main aim is to impart knowledge of fisheries and ocean science. The university offers undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs, PhD, and postdoctoral fellowship(PDF) programmes. All the programs are offered under faculty of fisheries science, the faculty of ocean science and technology, faculty of fisheries management, and faculty of fisheries engineering. The university has the accreditation and approval of AICTE and UGC.

KUFOS UG Admission 2026-27

KUFOS admission for the academic year 2026 for UG courses has started. Candidates can apply for any undergraduate program through the official website. courses offered for 4 years and 8 semesters. To be eligible for admission, students need to score 50% marks in any stream from any higher secondary board. The total intake of the BFSC program is 120 students, and for B.Tech is 48. Selection of the applicants for the Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) program will be through a score obtained in NEET UG, and for the B.Tech – Food Technology program, a Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical (KEAM) rank is required. 

KUFOS PG Admission 2026-27

KUFOS admission process has commenced for the postgraduate program for the academic session 2026. The university is offering 2-year and 4-semester postgraduate programs. PG programs include Master of Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc.) in 9 specializations, M.Sc. with 13 specializations, LLM in maritime law, MBA, and M.Tech in 6 specializations.

To be eligible for admission, students must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 50% or 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Admission for students will be based on a common entrance examination conducted by KUFOS and NTA (National Testing Agency score of ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2026), followed by an interview. Selection for the MBA program is through CAT/CMAT/KMAT score, personal interview, and group discussion. For M.Tech, a valid GATE score is required.

KUFOS Admission for Diploma and Certificate 2026-27

KUFOS admission registration for the diploma and certificate has started for the academic year 2026. To be eligible for the diploma program, students need to pass the 12th examination or complete vocational higher secondary education. For a PG diploma, students have to graduate in a relevant discipline. The duration of all PG/diploma programs is 1 year and 2 semesters. Total intake is 20 students.

PG/Diploma courses include Diploma in Brackish Water and Marine Aquaculture, PG Diploma in Aquarium Science and Technology, PG Diploma in Food Business Management, PG Diploma in Industrial Aquaculture, PG Diploma in Food Export and Import Management. Certificate courses include Certificate Programme in Computer-Aided Designing and Drafting (CADD), and Certificate Programme in Entrepreneurship Development. Certificate courses are offered for a minimum of 2 to 8 weeks with a total intake of 20- 30. Course fees range between INR 5500/- to INR 4500/-.

  • Step 1: Visit the KUFOS official website – http://admission.kufos.ac.in/.
  • Step 2: Click on the NEW CANDIDATE REGISTRATION button.
  • Step 3: Create a login ID by filling up name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, select program.
  • Step 4: Enter the security code and click on the CONFIRM button. 
  • Step 5: Log in with your username or password. 
  • Step 6: Fill in the application form with personal and educational details. 
  • Step 7: Upload your photograph and signature in JPG format and 30 KB size. 
  • Step 8: Upload the required relevant documents. 
  • Step 9: Pay the application fee online via the SBI collect link provided.
  • Step 10: Submit and check your application status.
  • Step 11: Download the hall ticket for the entrance examination.
  • Step 12: Log in with your username and password to check your status.
